Allergy alert – milk, soy & wheat

According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, Dominguez Family Enterprises is recalling Juanita’s Brand “Cuernos,” “Pan Huevo,” and “Ojos” Mexican breads due to undeclared milk, soy, and wheat. Products were distributed in retail stores in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. The products were in 6-count clear, plastic clamshell containers with a white, red, and green label and “best by” dates of 5/12/2010 though 6/05/2010. Consumers may return the product to the place of purchase and ask for a refund. According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, VanLaw Food Products, Inc. is recalling “Valu Time brand Ranch Dressing” due to undeclared egg. The products were distributed to Save Mart/Food Maxx stores in northern California. The product has a use-by date of APR 21 11. The back label was mislabeled as “Valu Time Light Ranch Dressing.” Consumers may return the product to their point of purchase for a refund. Consumers with questions may call (714) 870-9091.

According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, Rise ’N Roll Bakery is recalling “Peanut Butter Spread” due to undeclared egg. The product was distributed in retail stores in Indiana. The product comes in a 16-oz. glass jar and  does not bear a UPC code. Consumers who have questions may call (574) 825-4032.

According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, Wally’s Nut House, LLC is recalling “Tailgate Crunch Mix,” “Sweet Cajun Heat Mix,” “Country Western Mix,” “Cranberry Raisin Mix,” “Party Mix,” “Hot ‘n Spicy Mix,” and “Louisiana Cajun Mix” due to undeclared milk, soy, and wheat. The products were sold through fundraising events in Kansas and Missouri and through mail orders nationwide. The products are packaged in 16-oz. clear plastic bags with a resealable opening. The product labels do not include any codes or expiration dating.
