Diet changes bring relief to woman with celiac disease

From Wisconsin’s Appleton Post-Crescent:¬†Laurie Hermes thought she was eating the best foods for optimum health. A high priority was whole grains. “I was always eating seven-grain breads, and I ate a lot of oatmeal that I thought was good for my diabetes,” the 47-year-old Darboy woman said. “What I thought was eating healthy was really killing my insides.” Hermes was diagnosed last year with celiac disease, which affects one in 133 Americans. – Read more here.
